Join us to spend an evening reflecting on poems centered on the themes of hope and metamorphosis. Pre-selected student presenters will share poems that explore connection, light, and transformation.

The event will be held at the Sint Janskerk from 19:30-22:00, but the doors will open at 19:00. For the first portion of the event, the evening’s featured presenters will read sets of their original poetry. Then, students who have submitted original and/or favorite poems to read will be invited to read (see submission guidelines below).

All are welcome to attend!

From January 29-February 12, the Thuis Talk topic will be personal relationships. How can we cultivate healthy relationships with ourselves, friends, family members, and romantic partners? How might faith (our relationship to God, whatever that looks like) impact the ways we relate to ourselves & others? We’re excited to hear what you think!

We’re welcoming a new semester with dinner & board games! Join us on Thursday, January 22nd for an evening of good food, laughter, and gaming.

A free dinner will be served at 19:00. (Gluten free and vegetarian options are always available!) After we eat, we’ll play a couple of group games to break the ice & get to know each other. On Monday, December 15 we will be hosting an Advent-themed service at the Sint Janskerk in collaboration with the InnBetween.

Please join us in the red tower for a time of Christmas carols, candlelight, and Advent reflections. No matter your backgrounds or beliefs, you are welcome to join! This is an experience for both students and the wider Maastricht community, so feel free to bring your friends and family along.

The event will begin at 19:30, but the doors will open around 19:00. After the service, you are welcome to stay for coffee, tea, and conversation. We hope you can join us!

On Thursday 11 December, please join us to celebrate the past semester & honor the people who will be finishing their studies or moving away from Maastricht. We’ll have dinner as usual at 19:00, followed by a toast & fun activities.

Whether you’ve played for years or have never played before, our volleyball group is for you. Every Sunday, Thuis participates in casual volleyball games in Sports Hall E of UM Sports. We play from 15:30-17:00, but we usually arrive around 15:00 to warm up.

A UM Sports membership is not required, but we do request a €3 contribution (paid by cash or bank transfer on the Sunday you attend) to help cover the cost of the court rental.

Once a month, we also provide a free dinner after volleyball! After we play, you are welcome to share a meal & get to know everyone better. Hope to see you there!
